First Major Donation to the Arts
By making a donation of between $5,000 and $25,000 to a cultural organization such as SuperFolk, you can receive a special tax credit of up to 75% of the amount donated.
What is a first major donation to the arts?
It is a monetary donation made by an individual to a registered charity working in the arts and culture sector. This donation must:

Be between $5,000 and $25,000;

Be your first major donation to the arts (since July 3, 2013);

Be made to a recognized cultural organization, such as SuperFolk.

Be made in cash only (check, credit card, wire transfer, etc.);
What are the tax benefits?
In addition to the standard charitable donation tax credit (approximately 45% to 53%), you receive an additional 25% tax credit for this donation.
